W(h)ither SNO ?

Home Farm: Rest in Peace 1957-2011

http://thenaturalorderprocess.blogspot.com/2011/12/home-farm-rest-in-peace-2011.html

Where will the next generation of students come from?

Organizations, like a natural entities, live through periods of
growth and decline. Ever since the passing of Vitvan in 1964,
the Spirit has drained out of SNO like a tire slowly going flat.

Efforts to conserve what SNO once had to offer were at first praiseworthy,
but this spirit of conservation (conservatism in its best form) has soured
into reactionary-ism. The Old Guard at Home Farm are running the School
into the ground. They have no vision. Their "practice" has not led them
to any personal breakthrough experiences.
They cannot do anything but repeat the past.

Insanity is to keep repeating the past even though it continues to have diminishing results.

During times of decline parasites move in on the body of the host,
and live off of the remaining energies, while adding little to the
survival of the host. But that is only natural order too.
When challenged parasites will fight back.

The current Board embody this decline.
Faithful devotees born in the Old Age are too tired to resist
the toxins that the parasites exude to poison the host.
The flower of the 1960's generation have been driven off
by the objectifiers who cannot arise out of the
Ordinary State of Consciousness.
These are the Aristoteleans in sheeples' clothing.

The generation after this is totally missing.
And the next.

They have lost their own children who find the place
unloving, inhospitable, and intolerant
of sincere students with the URGE. I am such a student.
Today December 23, they delivered the notice to move out.

There was no discussion with the "community" of residents. That is because
while the oligarchy on the Board prattle about "community," what they really
mean is, "we'll make the decisions without your input; you obey."

In a few short years they will have killed off this once vital Stream,
all so they could be comfortable in their senescence
avoiding the challenge of growth.

In time we will be dissecting their argument, their performance,
if for no other reason than to complete our autopsy report on the
suffocation of our beloved Teaching.
But for now other projects claim my attention.

What will they one day have to answer for when they stand before
Those-Who-Know and are asked:
"Why have you not defended the liberty and the right to Question
and Inquire of sincere students? Who are you to
define and limit this Spirit, and lock it in your narrowness?
Woe unto you ye Pharisees
so lacking in Courage"

"If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.
If you do not bring forth what is within you,
what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.

Again: W(h)ither SNO ?

SNO has to decide if it is a living Spiritual Stream, or a mausoleum to Ralph M. de Bit.
RMDB, like a great architect, laid out a blue-print for what he hoped SNO might become as future students
built upon his vision. This would be the New Alexandria, where the spirit of Science and the science of
Spirituality would increasingly merge. He spelled out the goals for SNO in many versions and revisions.
We will refer to the one he gave us in A Brief Description ...(Raison d'etre) 1951 to see whether SNO is progressing in this or not. (link)

The current administration lives in nostalgia-land. The devotees who knew RMDB personally have difficulty
moving past seeing a saint on a pedestal. Those who didn’t know him in the flesh might have
to take a more pragmatic approach:

If he were a great chef, how do his recipes stand the test of time?
If he was a great explorer, how well do his maps hold up?

And more importantly, are we making a fetish of his maps, or are
we out there blazing our own route and adding unto his foundational work?

Imagine he were an inspired spiritual physician who perceived a creeping illness in humanity (“congenital objectification”) and set up an hospital ("school") to make suffers aware of this condition, and to try and find
ways out of it for those willing to undergo a long process of purification.
Would he expect us to be open to new information, or to only repeat his methodologies?

For SNO to be a Living Stream and not a mausoleum, we must look deeper into Who Is Vitvan (link),
and Who or What Is the Field (link)
For RMDB was given a teaching tailored for his time, his culture and his mission. He himself stated:

"There is no individual, labeled Vitvan or otherwise, who is separately and individually
responsible for the perception, creating, etc., of the Work and the ideal and goal of the
School of the Natural Order.

Vitvan works under guidance (very often that guidance is extremely conscious in its reception)
and in him that high level of force or power, that very fine frequency, is never lost sight of,
nor is there any recession from it. This, if held, will constitute a binding power overcoming
the human or personal equation which might inculcate factional partisanships; this ideal will
preserve the Work for a long future, if the ideal is preserved."

We take the position that the Blessed Ones who guided RMDB guide us yet;
and that this guidance must be found within each student as they fulfill their state,
and only then can SNO evolve into the New Alexandria, an inclusive University of the I AM,
free to preserve the historical methodologies of the Passing Age,
but unafraid to explore, discuss and allow for the new information being given
in the New Dispensation of this New Cycle
as we undergo the most rapid acceleration of knowledge and tools of gnosis
in historical time.

The Vitvan Fundamentalists, with the mindset of elementary school teachers, seem content to rotely repeat
the old lessons over and over, satisfied with maintaining appearances, and are comforted by “ preserving”
a “spiritual teaching.” They break no new ground.
The blue-print lies dormant.

Educators on the other hand wish to “lead out” and release the spirit of self-inquiry, for in the end, if we do not come to trust our own feel-know over any master, teacher, or teaching that has devolved into an ideology,
we have not even heard and acted upon the very teaching we parade about.
The Blessed Ones, the Field, through RMDB have said:,
“Trust only your own experience. Look only to the Field you are carried in. Test everything I say.”

Q- WHY does Victor Wolf feel reluctantly feel impelled to get off his ass
and assume the burden of creating this and its sister sites?

A- As his inner work intensified he became increasingly aware that he had been
under the guidance of this Field, even for decades when he assumed
he no longer had any association with It.
To proceed further he had to acknowledge that he had remained part
of this group, and that his dharma for now and the immediate future
lay with serving this Field, and to surrender to being put through
whatever discomfort this service entailed, and to share his process,
successes, and methodology, warts and all, so that other sincere
students who actively cultivated their Purificatory period
(as compared to letting it happen willy-nilly and letting "life be their teacher")
might get accurate feedback.

Q- Are you not extraordinarily vain to call your website Vitvan.com?
Are you implying that YOU are the new teacher?

A- Not at all. The true teacher is within. RMDB said the Age of Gurus
is past, and if there is no more outer master to cling to, then where else
can we look but within? Please see the section Who Is Vitvan?

"If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.
If you do not bring forth what is within you,
what you do not bring forth will destroy you."
